Calling All Creatures!
Is walking with zombies not scary enough? How about an event that will invade your happy space and fill it with nightmares for weeks to come? The Museum of Fear, our haunted house fundraiser that takes up the third floor of the museum, has grown bigger and scarier every year since its creation in 2009. This year, we have professional actors, movie quality set designs, dense fog, and putrid smells to bring you a sinister and scary experience that ensures you will never be the same.

The Museum of Fear will haunt your dreams through Halloween night. Check out our webpage at museumoffear.org to dig up more information about specific dates and times on when you can become a victim of the museum’s biggest attraction of the year!

Discover Your Inner Nerd Online!
The Lafayette Science Museum is the place where science happens in Lafayette, and we’re constantly finding ways to deliver news about the museum, the community, and the universe to science lovers everywhere. Whether you’re looking for information about our upcoming events like the Museum of Fear and ZombieWalk or simply searching for something to daydream about while in your office, we want to provide a hub for all things science going on in and around the museum. (Not that we’d actually approve of daydreaming while you’re working, but have you ever thought about solar flares? Cool, right?)

You've surely already "liked" our Lafayette Science Museum page on Facebook. Well, we realized that we also needed to upgrade our website to show you just how awesome of an attraction the museum is. Whether you’re a student who’s new to science, a teacher giving a lesson, or someone who really loves learning about the universe, we wanted to build a site that allows you to share that passion with us.

LafayetteScienceMuseum.org is the placeto be for Lafayette’s scientific community and its fans. There, you’ll find a an easy-to-navigate space that lets you see all of the fun that’s within the walls of the museum, as well as the things we’re doing to bring you the world of science outside of the museum. You’ll be able to look through pictures of the Museum of Fear, ZombieWalk, Bach Lunch, and the Steampunk and Makers’ Fair. You'll also be able to receive information on how to become a part of the fun associated with being a member of the museum.

Take a look at the new website and see for yourself. It’s one more way we’re helping you discover your inner nerd!

Even Zombies Need Exercise
We’re inviting zombies of all ages to don their most gruesome makeup and shuffle along the streets of downtown Lafayette on Saturday, October 26 for our second-annual ZombieWalk! Stave off the craving for brains with drinks from Schilling and tasty morsels from some of Lafayette’s favorite food trucks. Participate in a costume contest for the best zombie, enter a raffle for a “bug-out bag,” and join us for an evening that is sure to be a frighteningly good time!

Check out our Facebook page, where we’ll be scaring up some more information as the event gets closer. Start practicing your best groan, get your flesh in place, and try not to die (again) from the suspense!
