Teacher Toolkit

Tools for an immersive visit. When touring the Lafayette Science Museum, your group will be self-guided. While staff members are available to offer assistance as needed, teachers are responsible for establishing learning goals and chaperones are responsible for ensuring students know the learning goals during their time at the Museum.

We've put together some tools to enhance learning in our galleries:

  • LSM Teacher Guide (PDF) – A comprehensive guide to everything you'll find inside the Museum. Includes curriculum connections, hands-on educational activities, and detailed learning objectives for each of our exhibits and displays.
  • Planetarium Shows for School Groups (PDF) – We are pleased to offer your students the unforgettable experience of a planetarium show under our state-of-the-art dome. Programs begin at 9:10 a.m., 10:10 a.m., 11:10 a.m., and 12:10 a.m., and last 50 minutes. The planetarium has seating for 80 students with teachers.
