Looking for some interactive fun? Grab a controller and immerse yourself in LSM’s Gamers Sandbox. This hands-on exhibit includes six gaming stations, three each on the first and second floors of the museum, designed for individual or cooperative play.

The Sandbox features three fast-paced games — Orbiter, Wanderer and Bearzerker — designed by students of the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE).
Along with engaging visuals, the Sandbox offers an innovative soundscape. Instead of speakers, which produce omnidirectional sound, the stations’ sound emitters deliver sound trajectories, focused on the gamer, to create a fully immersive experience.
AIE is a non-profit institution that trains students for employment and career opportunities in 3D animation, game development, and related fields. Its campuses are located in Lafayette, Louisiana; Seattle, Washington; and Sydney, Australia.
